Isabel Padilla is a Photographer and Cinematographer from Spain based in NYC.
Isabel has completed a degree in Film, TV and Media at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a conservatory in Cinematography at the New York Film Academy, plus a semester specializing in film at Sogang University in Seoul.
Being photography where Isabel first started, she was drawn to very cinematic and moody atmospheres, translating her work into cinematography very naturally and mixing both in her style. She takes her work to a very personal, raw and surreal approach. For Isabel, photography is a form of world’s exploration, an only way to go out unnoticed, but noticing everything around her - photography is her own window into the world. She mostly picks nighttime as it is the only time where she thinks the eye can truly see and select what to pay attention to, the light of day is for the day-to-day actions and the artificial lights will turn her into someone who only needs to walk and see, but not be seen. Her work is calm and for everyone to interpret into their own sensations.
Some of her work has been for clients & bands such as the Empire State Building, Molchat Doma, Eartheater, LSDXOXO, art21, Universal Music, and many more.
Isabel is a proud member of The ICFC (International Collective of Female Cinematographers).
